Monday - Don't let drugs ruin your future, turn away from drugs! Wear your College Bound shirt backwards.
Tuesday - Shade out drugs! Wear sunglasses.
Wednesday - Team up against drugs! Wear your favorite sports team shirt or jersey.
Thursday - Sock it to drugs!  Wear crazy socks!

eLearning - October 30th

There will be no school on Friday, October 30th.  Friday will be a practice eLearning day.

Parent teacher conferences are on Thursday, October 29th.

Fire Station

The class will be walking to the fire station on Monday, October 26th to learn about fire safety.

Bear in the Chair

Riley Hospital for Children is sponsoring "The Bear in the Chair" program for our third grader, Hunter Schermerhorn.

College Bound

Great day at The University of St. Francis where third graders learned what it takes to be College Bound!

IPad Care

Please be sure your child is demonstrating responsibility with the iPad and is remembering to charge it each night and returning it to school the next day! Thank you!

October 30th - eLearning

October 30th will be a scheduled eLearning day!  I will go over all of the procedures and directions with the class prior to the first practice eLearning day.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Fire Station

The class will go to the Fire Station on October 26th to learn about fire safety.

St. Francis

The class is going to be College Bound on Tuesday, October 20th when the third graders take a field trip to The University of St. Francis!  The students will learn what it takes to be a college student, will tour the campus, and go to the planetarium!

YMCA Swimming

The class had a lot of fun and had a great experience learning water safety and how to become a better swimmer!

Focus on Health

The third graders learned about making healthy choices at Focus on Health on Thursday.  Ronald McDonald also surprised the third graders with some fun magic tricks!

Gold Canyon Fundraiser

The Gold Canyon Fundraiser is due on Monday, October 12th.  Please be sure to collect the money at the time of the order.  There is no tax on the candles.  Please make checks to Avilla School!  Thank you in advance for your support!

YMCA - Swimming

Remember to bring a bathing suit, towel, and plastic bag on Monday, October 12th for swimming at the YMCA.
